Newman et al[1] reported a 52-year-old Caucasian woman diagnosed with sebaceous gland carcinoma of the eyelid, followed by breast cancer and papillary carcinoma of the thyroid. There was a history of radiation exposure. Testing for most likely candidates such as Muir-Torre and Cowden syndrome proved negative. The authors suggested that their patients disorder represented a novel cancer susceptibility disorder or a variant of the Muir-Torre syndrome.
